If you like piano-based boogie woogie, you found your man. Taylor puts out a "Big Band" sound that hasnt been heard for 60 years. Even better sound live than on CD.

John Sathan - Saturday, 14th August 2010 21:12
Dave, are you gonna come and do some gigs in the U.K

Mr Blake - Saturday, 3rd July 2010 21:16
Cool Rock & Roll and Hot Curry

Fancy some Classic Rock piano and vocals with a tasty Curry and Rice to soak up the beer before venturing home to Her Indoors? At Midnight Rock on Don Juico Avenue both can be achieved from the comfort of your bar stool.

Rockin Dave can do more things with a piano than Jerry Lee Lewis could ever imagine. Catch Dave in the mood to give it some welly and you will see a natural performer; fine pianist and awalking

encyclopedia of rock & roll in his natural environment. Dave likes a good crowd to play to and good crowds seem to like him. His cabaret girls are getting livelier these day and though they see Dave bashing the ivories every week on Thursday nights Dave can still surprise them a with a new trick or two. Off stage Dave is a touch reserved and always a gentleman. Dave has been in the Rock Business ever since it became a business as opposed to a teenage rebellion. In the "entertainment" district of Angeles City a professional entertainer like Dave is as rare as rocking horse manure. A true gem.

Whazup Dave? How ya doin?

Kevin - Saturday, 13th February 2010 12:21
I live in Las Vegas, but Rockin Dave's show is without a doubt the best show that I have ever seen!!

John - Saturday, 13th February 2010 12:18
By not playing every night at Midnight Rock Bar, Dave deprives a lot of people from witnessing his unique talent.

Roy - Monday, 1st February 2010 12:04
its time to add a second night. the last two weeks it was so crowded i couldn't even see you at the piano. hope you will consider playing two nights.

Blue Book Angeles City - Monday, 4th January 2010 11:17
If anyone´s looking for some really good live entertainment you must drop by the Midnight Rock bar on Perimeter Road. Thanks to seeing the ad´ in the Blue Book, I had one of my best nights out in years. Gee, could this guy, Rockin Dave play that piano. All old boogie woogie and rock from the 50´s and 60´s. And just when you thought it couldn´t get any better the waitress´s came around giving away free meals supplied by Currie Steve. The place was packed and it was standing room only by 8.30 p.m. When I got home I told the wife my reason for being late but she didn´t believe a word I said, as usual. I might take her with me next time but then again, maybe I won´t.

John - Sunday, 22nd November 2009 12:13
I have been living in Angeles City for over 19 years, and Rockin Dave is the best show I have ever seen!!

Let me know when the next party is?

Thanks John

roy fisher (Da-Fish) or, Pescada Blanca - Friday, 30th October 2009 14:15
this is a great bar and dave'e makes it all the greater if he is willing to perform regularly because his music is spectacular. he is an artist and truly a rocker. what a blend of boogie woogie, rock and big band. i wish there was a dance floor. besides the great young ladies, the pool table is absolutely one of if not the best in angeles. it rolls long and true.

Yo Dave, this is Massa, your former sound engineer from golden 80-s in Finland when Sorbus & Edam was the name of the game. It was really fun to found your home page via YouTube, listen your music and remember all those adventures we had during our tours! Hope everything is running smoothly nowadays. Any plans to visit your reindeer friends here up north :-D ??

Cheers,
Massa

Harry the Horse (Jimmy) - Friday, 28th August 2009 14:08
On Wednesday, 26 Aug 09, I witnessed great entertainment at the Midnight Rock. I
saw first hand the piano playing and singing of "Rockin Dave" at this new Club that
was previously known as "Electric Blue". Dave had been open for a few days already
but on this particular night he had sort of a formal opening with the help of some
of other Club owners who provided an array of dancers that really livened the place
up. Represented were ladies from Emotions, Dr. Holm's, Stampede and Eruptions and
of course, the Midnight ladies themselves. The highlight of the evening though had
to be the show put on by the man himself - Rocking Dave. This is definitely
something different to look forward to and I do believe that Dave will develop a
good fan base and some loyal customers. I am hoping that he will perform about
every hour on the hour for fifteen minutes or so because he is the main attraction.
Yes, he has the ladies, the club is nice, the music is not loud, the prices are
reasonable, the dancers are energetic but he does need a few more to fill out the
bill. This is a club that will not be an overnight success but it will grow in
popularity over time. One can feel comfortable taking your girlfriend there and
even the Mrs just to see the antics of Dave on stage. One thing is for sure, the
Midnight Rock will continue to Rock on and Dave's piano will not be silenced. He
has too much talent to share with the patrons of his Club and his business will grow
accordingly. Everyone likes to look at the ladies, me included and there sure are
enough places in town to do that to your hearts content but there is always room for
a bit of show business as well, thank you, Dave, for providing that.

Take care Dave, see you soon,

Dr. Leon Berman - Friday, 3rd July 2009 06:48
It was an extreme pleasure playing your tune on the radio here in Seattle and all around the world on the
internet.

I feel honored to get an e-mail from the Boogie Woogie Master Himself.
I really enjoyed your videos too...you are a certified madman that has
found his place on this planet. You would fit well on stage at the
Shake the Shack Rockabilly Ball here in Seattle. This year is our 22nd
annual ball. If you are interested in playing at our festival next year (#23), let me know - it's always on the last weekend of September. This year's show is completely filled, but keep next year in mind - we'd love to have you play. Looking forward to playing more of your tunes!

Hi Dave,

Hope everything is going well with your new ventures/music/everything in general. I do take a peek at the "ventures", i.e. clubs etc., that you are playing in or buying or whatever it is you do. Impressive. Must be better than loading up a van and trawling up and down the country to different clubs, pubs and bars every night. Yep, I sure do remember those days. And nights. Long, long, nights driving back down motorways and breathing a sigh of relief on reaching the "Hanger Lane" flyover, and realising that bed and sleep were not very far away!

Francis - Tuesday, 19th May 2009 07:57
Hi Dave,
I saw your video. It's cool and awesome. Twice I have traveled in Mt. Pinatubo. Once in motorcycle and second on a off-road mountain bicycle. It's 12 years since last been there.

These slopes and terrains over the mountain keeps changing due to rain or environment change. But what is worse... some people are trying now to vandalize the eco-system surrounding this areas. I hope the natural environment will remain and not be politicize.

Thank you for sharing this experience.

Hi Stella and Dave,

you have sure given me an attack of nostalgia!!
I have been on the bill with Dave way back in the days of the Lyceum and 'Carousell ents'when he was in 'Flight 56' and I was just starting out in 'Thunderbird', then in the 'Wild Angels' with that hatefull worthless ******* and coward Herbert William Darling aka. Bill(reputation bigger than reality)Kingston! For my part I'm still delivering the good news in a three piece line up and we are doing all right, it's more fun now than it's ever been. Give me a call if you are ever over in the Emerald Isle we'll sort you out with a real wild time!

All the best and good luck,

In the faith, Rob 'ROOSTER'
p.s. if you see Herbert tell him i heard about his heart attack, still with a bit of luck he will live a long time in a great deal of pain,
the gutless thieving snyde!

Hi,Stella,

Wow- I did enjoy Rockin Dave's show- couldnt sit still . They are very conservative up
here- and although may not have got up and danced- a lot said they really
enjoyed the show.

Mike said he would love to have Dave back in the Summer..
The back wall is being knocked out this week, so will hold more people which
is good.
I have done a write up of the show and pics - on front page of the website.
Hope to meet you next time!

It was interesting to read your piece about Ken Graham making a return to AC....my first thoughts were where did he get the money!! Anyway a black bird told me that he had a partner who put up all the money and then they had a falling out....than Ken's wife and her family ran him out of the country. The old drop kick is still up to his old tricks....Regards, No name....no blame. (Wow, heavy comments from a reader who must know Ken fairly well)

Hi Dave

Dont worry about Ken Graham, Everybody knows that he is a fraudster and con man. He tried the same thing back in the 90's at Clarkton Hotel. He was run out of Philippines then and he will be again.

Gangsters like Ken Graham are not welcome in Angeles City! We all support you Dave.

When are you coming to the States? I would love to see you again and see
your show. The beers are on me. Now you have to come!!!

I just ordered your CD "A Rocker Guide to the Galaxy". I'm looking forward
to listing to it.

I made my last jump about a year ago and think this time I might really be
retired. I still do some occasional jump flying. I just started a SCUBA course
last week. With my new flying job I will be going to the Bahamas and other
nice places down south so I decided it would be fun to get out in the water.

Christine - Wednesday, 13th February 2008 20:00
Hi Stranger,

Messing about on my laptop; looking up and downloading music, as usual, but on this occasion, trying to find the album "Rock 'n' Roll is Still Alive", recorded at Picketts' Lock - Hellraisers, Flying Saucers & Crazy Cavan - I remember it very well, I was there. You had PINK hair and you smashed your piano into hundreds of pieces. It went down well with the audience, but, unfortunately, the Saucers and Cavan weren't quite as impressed. I can't quite remember which one of them followed the Hellraisers on stage, but it was still quite liberally covered with bits of wood, keys and wires!

I've read your "biography" - interesting, and the amount of songs you've written and recorded - impressive!

Still wondering who this is? Here's a few clues to get you thinking - "Hollingbourne Gardens; The Park; Mrs. Greengrassbanks. Kempston; Mick Richardson; Harold Wood". Any ideas yet? Ok, if you haven't, I give in - Christine!

If you do read or receive this message, and if you want to reply, I'm at christine.22@btinternet.com. I'll tell you more about what I've been up to then.

Until then, I wish you well, and glad that you've done so much and (from what I've read and seen), achieved what you so desperately always wanted to. You worked so hard towards that goal, and I know, only to well, how frustrating it was in those early days. I typed out pages and pages of lyrics and spent hours patiently copying your music, note by note. Not easy for someone who just about knew the basics of reading music - I just had very neat handwriting and made good use of the photocopiers at work!

All the best,

Christine O'Callaghan (McCarthy)

P.S. I must say, but at your age, (and mine), I think climbing up scaffolding; microphone in hand, is a bit of a dangerous passtime!!!

Christine - Wednesday, 13th February 2008 19:57
Long Time, No See
I'm very new to this, so don't know whether you'll get this message or not, but if you do, it's Christine, as in Harold Wood! Still around, still in the same area, still the same; Still around, still in the same area, still the same; just older! (Buster is the name of my dog, the "Collins" bit I'll explain if you get in touch). Impressed by the biography and all you've achieved, well done.

Alot of years have passed (I was 17 when we met!!!), Hollingbourne Gdns, The Park, Mrs. Greengrassbanks? (I think that was her name, anyway), "The White House", Kempston....... the list goes on!

Would love to hear from you, and I can be emailed at christine.22@btinterent.com

All the Best,
Congrats for all you've achieved, you deserved it. I know only too well how frustrating it was all those years ago; all that talent that no-one wanted to see or listen to. Your delight at tracking down a "Lawrence Audio" piano, (just after your Mum and Dad had got you the "Fender Stage 88)! I remember it all very, very, vividly. It may just as well have been yesterday

Kind Regards and Thanks for the Memories

Hi Dave, A blast from the past, or should I say a ghost from your past!!!! Old Rockers never die, they just GET OLD! Readin your biography was interesting - to say the least - but I knew most of it anyway; I was there for quite a big chunk of it - Picketts Lock is very memorable - you had PINK hair! I still live in the same area; have a daughter of nearly 21, got widowed 7yrs. ago and still love and play all my rock'n' roll stuff, though much of it is downloaded onto cd these days - Limewire and Frostwire! Yes, I use PRO; it has to be paid for!

I don't work anymore; I have arthritus and, would you believe it, ASTHMA; I'm the one with all the inhalers these days!

Get in touch if you want - I can do the IM (Instant Messaging), like sending bloody text messages, but better, you can at least have some sort of conversation!

Take care, it would be interesting to hear from you.

Christine

Rob 'ROOSTER' Little - Sunday, 29th April 2007 18:37

Very good photos and some informations concerning the Past (Hellraisers...). I have in my own collection a record from Hellraisers in live at the pickets at lock (no label,no cover). Can you tell me why this record had never been released ?

Thank you very much and congratulation for your music... Stay yourself, Dave

You look like an interesting kind of guy Dave ... and good lord, is that a flashlight in your pocket or are you just really happy to be a musician? More pics of you in the tight jeans would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dave, How's it hanging? Aint seen ya for many a few years, when you actually lived then I believe 1977 in the same part of the World as me Cambs / Beds Border. Many things have passed under the bridge since then.
Even titled our house Chateau - Nod, with the name and town the Postie knows who we are.
Its great to see that you are still circumnavigating the Rockin' globe - Do consider that Finland was the key to your solo success - though you could newer have made it without your band.

Nuff Sed, Here's to a Rockin' success for 2006
