Taylor albums, HOOKED ON JIVE and NORDIC DREAM, will now be available for
downloading via K-tel and iTunes, and other K-tel’s selected digital
platforms worldwide.
HOOKED ON JIVE was first released by K-tel on CD as part of its hugely
successful 'HOOKED ON' series in the 1990s. The classic tracks of the best
in Big Band Swing, Jive and Rock & Roll, contained on the original CD,
will now be available for download individually.

NORDIC DREAM - A CELEBRATION OF SCANDINAVIA
The project "Nordic Dream" was created by the English songwriter, Dave
Taylor, who has worked in Scandinavia since the late 1970's and lived
there for many years. It is a musical account of his impressions of
Scandinavia, inspired by the various Nordic towns and landscapes, and
influenced by the extraordinary music culture. In these light classical
compositions can clearly be distinguished the traditional melancholy of
the Scandinavian character and music, contrasting severely with the
sensitive tranquillity and beauty of the Nordic nature as well as the
impetuous seasonal divergence. The 19 recordings featured on this CD
represent the inheritance of many years of collaboration between Dave
Taylor and Scandinavia and a celebration of the Nordic Countries.
Nordic Dream is a million miles away from what I normally do musically,
i.e. Boogie Woogie, Rock & Roll, Big Band Swing etc., and it almost never
made it to fruition. I wrote and recorded this album back in 1991. Not
knowing quite what to do with it, it sat on my studio shelf for 13 years
until one day I made the decision to release it. Nordic Dream isn't a
collection of songs in the Scandinavian style, but more a collection of
memories and thoughts of a time spent in Finland.
